The largest free surface in a room, and the most effective one.
Baffles, rafts, clouds, tiles and seamless ceilings. Treating the ceiling leaves the walls free for windows, art and storage, and usually gives the biggest result for the least visual change.

Seamless ceiling with light cove
A plain white ceiling that hides its absorber, edged with a soft line of light along the walls. Calm overhead, quiet underneath.

Fine-textured finish
From a distance it reads as plain white. Up close, a fine texture lets sound through to the absorber behind it.

Backlit grid ceiling
Translucent acoustic panels in a slim grid, lit evenly from behind. The whole ceiling becomes the light source.

Faceted ceiling
White ceiling planes set at angles, with light lines along the folds. The angles break up reflections, and the light follows the geometry.

Fine timber slats running the length of a hall, with an absorber above them. Warmth overhead, even in a big, busy room.
